Meet Frank Sossamon

Family Man, Pastor, District 32 Advocate

Frank Sossamon is a North Carolina native and served Granville and Vance Counties as the North Carolina House Member from 2022-2024, bringing a record amount of resources back from Raleigh to District 32. 

While in office, Frank Sossamon served on the powerful Appropriations on Education K-12 Committee and helped deliver historic funding to North Carolina public schools. He also served on the Appropriations, Commerce, Education K-12 and Transportation Committees.

Frank served as Senior Pastor of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church for 36 years, was part of the IPHC Conference, and founded and led the Chaplain Program. He also serves as:

  • Current 30-year Board member of Henderson/Vance County Crime Stoppers

  • Current Board Member for the Vance County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council

  • Current President and 10-year Board Member of the Granville County Crime Stoppers

  • Current member of the North Carolina Crime Stoppers Association Board of Directors

Frank, who is a pastor and grief counselor, also introduced House Bill 982,

the “Faith in Mental Health” initiative, a groundbreaking pilot program for Vance and Granville Counties to improve access to mental health. For his tireless community service, Frank received the 2020 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award.

Frank has lived in District 32 for the past 40 years. He has been married to his wife, Vicki, for 51 years, and they have 3 adult children, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
